It’s Official… Drink Coffee, Live LongerMom's Coffee
I always deeply wanted this to be true… and now it’s been proven.
Researchers in California recently found that people who drink alcohol in moderation and 2 or more cups of coffee per day actually live longer than those who don’t drink coffee.
Tell me that isn’t the best news you’ve heard all day.
And that’s not all. Those same researchers found that people who were slightly overweight in their 70s lived longer than normal and underweight people did. Right on… score one for living happy!
The increased longevity was evident even for those drinking up to a whopping 8 cups of coffee per day.
Why? That's the part scientists still don't totally understand.
It could be that coffee is the #1 source of anti-oxidants in the American diet. (I know, right? We drink a lot of freaking coffee). Those anti-oxidants fight damage to your DNA that typically comes with aging.
(Side note: That's also why coffee goes stale so fast and can lose its health benefits within just a couple weeks. The coffee oxidizes when exposed to air and quickly begins to lose those critical anti-oxidants.)
Also, coffee is a natural anti-inflammatory (think heart and vascular health), and can potentially do things like help improve insulin receptivity and maybe even protect against against diabetes and Parkinson's… all issues that increase with age.
Regardless of the reasons, I'm sold! More coffee, please.
Based on this research, I’m going to live a long, happy life eating good food, drinking great coffee, and hanging out with family I love.
Put this theory to the test and get yourself some Mom’s Coffee today. Maybe you’ll invite me to your 100th birthday bash?
